Product Review: Black and Decker Handy Chopper

One of my all time favorite finds in kitchen gadgets has been the Black and Decker HandyChopper. I have terrible arthritis in my hands so chopping, dicing, and slicing are extremely difficult. I purchased this product and fell in love. I use it to chop chicken for all types of dishes as well as; onions, bell peppers, and all kinds of veggies. It has made my life so much easier because most of my dishes require this kind of precision. I can think of millions of things to make with it.

Product Review: One Click Butter Cutter

If you are like me, you hate buying butter, it's hard to deal with , it's hard to cut, hard to spread, you need to keep it in the fridge or it goes rancid. I never buy it. If you have problems with your hand weakness, butter is definitely a no go, your have to have a real good grip on that knife. (unless the butter is hot) Either way, for many people butter is a pain. We have found a solution!

Product Review: OXO Good Grips Salad Spinner

A healthy diet full of vegetables is often part of an ill person’s wellness plan. For my family, salad ranks high on the list of favorites. But the thought of washing, chopping and spinning all of that lettuce can be a daunting task for someone with chronic fatigue or arthritis.

Product Review: French Press Coffee

It seems that if I don't have my 2 cups of coffee every morning I will have a "crash" sometime in the early afternoon. A couple of weeks ago when my electric drip coffeemaker gave up the ghost I started looking around for an alternative. It seems that coffeemakers in this area live for about a year and, probably due to the high mineral content, they "die". Yes, I cleaned with vinegar, and I have cleaned with different coffeemaker cleaners - a year is just life as I have always known it.

Product Review: Automatic Gizmo® Can Opener

You all know how I love kitchen gadgets and this is my newest favorite. The arthritis in my hands is really bad and gets worse as the weather gets colder, so being the wonderful husband that he is, Darren went and bought me this can opener. It is awesome. I don't have to do anything but put it on the can and it does the rest.

Product Review: Waring JEX328 Juice Extractor

Last year I decided to start juicing and went looking for a juicer. I discovered that many low cost juicers out there were entirely plastic and I was not sure of their durability. After doing a bit of checking around, I found the Waring JEX328 on sale. It was not 100% plastic like most other juicers. It boasted a brushed stainless steel body that wiped clean with a sponge and wouldn’t turn color with age. It also was advertised as juicing both fruits and vegetables. All qualities that I found appealing in a juicer.

Product Review: KitchenAid Professional Fruit Slicer

Recently, I have begun the journey of trying to incorporate more fruits into my daily diet. The problem I faced most often was slicing or peeling them, because of the painful arthritis in my hands. I began my search in one of my favorite places in the world..... the kitchen wares store. I could honestly spend all day there looking at the gadgets and dreaming of ways to use them in MY kitchen. But alas I was on a mission that day and couldn't buy anything other than my intended gadget to help relieve my problem. I found what I was looking for in the KitchenAid Professional Fruit Slicer.

Product Review: Sugar Please Automatic Sugar Dispenser

Whoever thought of this great new gadget must have been sitting next to me at the diner, whenever I angrily rip open one of those sugar packets. Either I tear it and sugar flies everywhere, or I can't get the darn things open at
all.

Product Review: Antiscald Temperature Actuated Flow Reducers

Many people who face neurological disabilities, including the elderly and children, have trouble feeling when the temperature of water is too hot. Recently, I have (minimally) burnt myself, not realizing how hot the bath tub water was and so I was recommended to try an "anti-scald" device on my shower head/ faucet.
