As soon as February passes by it seems that there's a thousand events we end up hosting: St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Passover, spring birthdays. It just never stops. When you have to host parties all Spring it can get very harrowing when you have to decide what to serve. You want something that not only tastes good and looks good, but are easy to make and versatile enough for any occasion. I'm a self-proclaimed cook, but baker, I am not...yet, when I made these cookies I was so impressed with myself! These are the George Clooney of cookies: they look fine! With a little help from a cookie mix (and maybe some little helping hands!) you'll quickly turn these simple cookies into what I promise will become the cookie-talk of the town.

Recipe for Kiffles Hungarian Pastries

What are Kiffles? Kiffles are an Eastern European pastry of dough rolled paper thin by hand and filled with assorted fillings. They are pronounced "kif-fulls". In the U.S., you can find them in parts of Pennsylvania. Kiffles are
similar to Polish Kolacky or Czech Kolache (small, sweet yeast buns with fruit filling poked into its side) but use a different dough.Kiffle dough has cream cheese and butter in it. They're filled with apricot filling, lekvar
(prune butter), poppyseed, or a walnut filling (walnuts and sugar), then they're rolled up into
a crescent shape, and baked. While they're still a bit warm, the kiffles are sprinkled with powdered sugar.

Super Easy Peanut Butter Cookie Recipie

This is a very basic, easy peanut butter cookie recipie that doesn't even require flour. They taste great and are quick to make.

One cup of peanut butter (crunchy or regular... doesn't matter)
One cup of sugar
One egg

Mix all ingredients together. Roll dough into balls and place on a greased cookie sheet, silpat or parchement paper. Using a fork, flatten the balls leaving a waffled pattern on them. Bake at 350 for about ten minutes. Check periodically to be sure they don't burn. Enjoy!
