Post OT has heard of EDS
The most helpful thing was that she had actually heard of EDS - apparently she had a patient a few months ago and he buried her under information about his EDS and how it affects him, so she knows. I didn't have to do any explaining at all.

She did talk a lot. I think she was a little nervous after I regaled a few of my classic dislocation tales. When she launched into stair lifts and ripping up the stone path to the cottage to replace with a wheelchair accessible path, I beginning to feel a little overwhelmed. But it was nice to have someone say
something other than 'Go away, I can't help you'.

Dee, I'm so happy for you. It sounds like things are turning around for you. And it's great that you now have a professional advocating for you. She might be going overboard just a wee bit, but that's a whole lot better than doing too little or nothing at all.

:D

Cool...mail her to me!

I think she may have overwhelmed you a bit...i know when my caseworker was talking about a modified van i freaked out.

And BTW...people really don't like to hear about our dislocation stories...they find it scary. My PCA was horrified...the ER doc...the nurses...everyone...i learned not to tell them lol...unless i'm talking to my sister :D
