ok, it seems people with EDS tend to be shorter than the average person... so, how tall are you?

168 cm (5'5"), officially. Last time someone checked professionally, however, I turned out to be 2 cm shorter for some reason. Pride dictates to ignore that, of course.

ok, how many of us got labeled with "failure to thrive" or stopped growing as infants? i was ALWAYS very tiny and underweight... in fact, it took me 3 years to triple my birth weight!

I stopped growing at 12...Dr. F said that was a bit early...

Well, im not exactly short, but I was a small baby. I don't know about failure to thrive or anything. At full term I was only 6lbs and was always very small. I stopped growing at about 13.

171cm (5'6")...

And I was a HUGE baby (9lb 61/4oz and full term)...

EDS doesn't really effect height (but I am sure some kinds could but not by too much)...

And I was NEVER failure to Thrive or Stopped Growing but I was thin up until about age 20+ (Then my body fell apart and becasue I couldn't get about well I put on weight (I am now about 20-30kg's overweight, which is NOT great fo rmy knees and legs etc, but it is VERY hard to lose weight when you can't exercise))...

i was a tiny baby that needed to wear doll's clothes as baby clothes were far too big for me! i was the smallest in my class until i was about 7, then i caught up and prompty stopped growing at 10 or 11 years old as i started puberty at 6 (and got my growth spurt at 7...).

i'm now 4'9". on my medical notes i'm a 'person of short stature'. thats a bit nicer than my usual labe of 'proportionate dwarf'! (the upper hight limit for a dwarf is over 4'10")

I'm somewhere between 5'8" and 5'9". I was always tall and skinny when I was a kid and then I went from tallish for my age to jumping up 8" over once summer. Then my body started falling apart and I starting gaining weight cause I could no longer exercise.

My mother, sister, aunt and myself are about 5'7 - 6'0, so can't say I agree with EDS patients being short : )
