Mini-stroke (TIA) - could it be from EDS?
Hello all!
I had what my neuro thinks was a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA or Mini-Stroke) and he told me to take aspirin everyday. I am dx with H-EDS but a consult with a rhuemy felt I should be tested for V-EDS because he thought (for some reason) that I had the vascular type.
My question...is a has anybody else had a TIA and if so what EDS type are you?
Thanks all!

We don't know what's going on with me but I have a lot of neuro problems and an abnormal MRI. I also don't have a type of EDS...but yeah you might want to get tested for VEDS anyway. You could also have a blood clotting problem...seeing as you're 29 they should look into this farther.

Re: Mini-stroke (TIA) - could it be from EDS?
My grandfather - of one of the branches of the family where we think the EDS may have come from - had TIAs fairly young. In his case, they blamed it on his smoking, but he was in I think his early 50s so he was still a little young for it. So I don't know if they're related, but you have me curious.
Would you PM me if they decide it's related?
