Post Hats Hats Hats Hats!!!
Thanks to my not-so-good pal, Lupus.. I am extremely sensitive to the sun/heat. I live in Alabama where the summers are scorching and humid (and just not spoonie friendly D:)

I have sunblock, umbrellas, and such... but what I need is a good floppy hat!

So to my fellow spoonies I ask: Where do you guys buy your hats? Do you have a particular style of hat that is your favorite?

I need to buy at least 2 hats for the summer!

EDIT
While we are at it, if you gals have any other sun protection products to recommend then go ahead!

Being from Texas, I know what you mean about needing hats. :hot:
Personally, I buy whatever LOUD, crazy hats I happen across- Wal-Mart and similar places are great for this. Big, floppy, sun hats with hawaiin prints or cowboy hats with bright patterned bandanas as hat bands. Flea markets, motorcycle runs...always have my eyes open for something fun.

I wear big floppy hats, a wide rim covers the face. Walmart, Target, consignment shops, and thrift stores are great places for hats.

After Memorial Day, summer mark downs being, which seems odd because that's when summer begins. I guess it shows the mark up on seasonal goods.

Remember sungalsses too, ya need your eyes protected.

I am from Oklahoma so grew up wearing western hats. I got one of my straw ones at the Cracker Barrell for cheap.

Also, try 5-7-9 and/or Claire's Boutique. I got a couple of killer hats at Claire's. One denim, one black and white pin-striped. My grandson declared them "classic". And they were only $12 or $14 each.

Baseball hats work well for me as I don't have clip on sunglasses so they not only protect my head they shield my eyes. It looks super cute if you pigtail your hair and put the hat on as well.

It's not the world's best picture and my hair is a bit longer now (I have insanely fast growing hair) but you get the picture.

I LOVE fedoras and newsboy hats! But, I am enamored with any type of hat, and I will check out Goodwill and other thrift store everytime I can.

I love hats! I live in Scotland, which isn't exactly noted for its sunny climate, but it does sometimes get sunny enough for me to need a hat outdoors, and I'm also sensitive to fluorescent lights in shops etc so I usually wear a hat when I go out. It's become part of my look now: I wear hats whether or not I anticipate any need. I have baseball caps, floppy hats, beanie hats, straw hats... lots of different hats.
My favourite hat:

I buy most of them from charity shops. I also found a nice colourful sunhat in my local £1 shop recently. It was in the children's section but fits me perfectly!

Fluffybum, my fav colour is purple, but I am not brave enough to wear a hat like that.

I have to wear serious sunblock in the summer. Anything below 30 is useless. When I lived in Florida, I was wearing 45!
