Healthy Snack Review: Funky Monkey Snacks

It is Healthy Eating Month at ButYouDontLookSick.com!

I think I can officially be called the Snack Queen now. For the past month I have searched high and low for good, healthy, satisfying snacks. I find that most of my calories or "bad eating habits" come from the snacking I did, not necessarily from meals. So I thought if I surround myself with healthy options, then I will make better choices. Funky Monkey Snacks are all-natural, freeze-dried, fruit pieces accented with additional natural flavors including; cinnamon, acai and lime. I sampled the Bananamon (banana/cinnamon) and Purple Funk (banana/acai). I didn't even know what acai was, but it tasted good!

These snacks are tasty and good for you too. They are very sweet without sugar added and no high fructose corn syrup. For those with food allergies, Funky Monkey snacks are also gluten-free, wheat-free, and dairy-free. Funky
Monkey freeze-dries slices and pieces of real fruit, using a unique process to lock in the taste, smell and nutrients of freshly-picked fruit, while adding a fun and satisfying crunch. Each 1 ounce bag contains 3 servings of fruit.

The cartoon monkey and bright packaging will be great to entice kids to eat these fruity snacks. Put them in your kid's lunch boxes, or use them for an after school snack.

Look for all the varieties of Funky Monkey Snacks in the produce or snack sections of your grocery stores and natural foods stores. The bags cost between $1.99 and $2.49. For more information, go to www.funkymonkeysnacks.com or buy yours now from Amazon.com:
