This Nalgene water bottle is the perfect way to keep track of your liquid intake, and it’s ideal for travel, so you can take it in the car or to work with you. Two Nalgenes full of water a day equals 8 cups, and I have found it much easier to keep track of my water consumption this way. My thoughts quickly go to the things I have planned for the upcoming day, but first I take a mental inventory of my body and how I'm feeling that day. Joints: check, energy: check, lucidity: check. I then stumble out of bed, tripping over the jeans and physics books I left on the floor the previous night, and go about beginning my day. It is well put together with expressive photographs and explanations that create a clear understanding. This is a great book for a beginner, but it also offers solid information for someone who has been practicing for a while. What I appreciate about this book is that most of it is comprised of floor postures. If I’m really tired, I can simply move from page to page without even once being asked to stand up. There is a good balance between a variety of ways you can bend or twist or pose your body in order to feel looser in limb and joint, fresher in muscle, and more relaxed, as well as centered and peaceful. It suddenly appeared in front of me in the bookstore, at a time when I desperately needed it. Going through a flare up of fibroymalgia, I found its promises appealing and purchased the book without a second thought. Instead of a solid seat and chair back, there are instead fiber mesh fabrics that are breathable and form-fitting. It distributes your weight evenly and minimizes pressure. The chair has a high and wide contoured back, designed to take pressure off the lower spine and a waterfall front edge to reduce pressure under the thighs. The chair is fully adjustable (specific adjustments vary according to chair model): seat height; seat tilt, so you can have a chair that moves smoothly with you as you want it to, allowing for correct support in all positions; tilt tension, so the chair will move as easily as you want it to; tilt limiter; extra lumbar and posture supports; and arm height and angle, so that whether you are working directly in front of you or reaching to the side, your arm can be supported. It even comes in 3 sizes, so that whether you are tiny or large there is one to fit you. The brain fog means I can’t handle anything too complex or long and my fragile mental health means I shouldn't read anything that could upset me. My muscle weakness means hard-backs are impossible and since it’s part of my relaxation time, I need my “fun” books to be just that. I love murder mysteries and have read everything by my favorite authors, so I’m always looking for new authors to check out at the library. Joanna Fluke’s novel caught my eye because of the lurid yellow cover, with a sketch of a slice of Lemon Meringue Pie, complete with skull and crossbones, on the front! Then I saw the title and was intrigued by the note “Recipes Included”. This looked like fun and the book didn’t disappoint. When you can't get outside much, houseplants can help to bring the outside in to you and lift your spirits. However, Spoonies - indeed most people generally! - should select their houseplants carefully: there is nothing uplifting about dead and dying plants.
