The Dreaded Grocery Store: Tips on saving time and energy while grocery shopping

Out of all the areas my illness kills the joy for-grocery shopping is number one on the top ten list! Just the mere thought of grocery shopping makes me want to crawl into bed and declare myself on a fast! I simply cannot stand grocery stores.

Product Review: ABC Baby Carrier Mei Tai Carrier

As a single mom of a 2 1/2 year old, I find it difficult to always pick up my child when he can't walk anymore, or to tote an umbrella stroller around with me through crowded places, like a farmer's markets, where I need to keep an eye on him. Further more, I like to have him close by, so what is a mommy in pain to do??? I have a simple solution for you- ABC Carrier.

Stepping into the Shower with Chronic Illness

Ah, showering. That major task that, for those of us with a chronic illness, ranks right up there on the energy scale with oh, lawncare? Home renovation? Maybe car repairs? Why, I have to schedule personal hygeine days right along with doctor appointment days, grocery shopping days, and all those days which contain that one major endeavor, that spends all our "spoons" in one place.

Recipe: Pasta with Tuna Caper Sauce

This recipe is simple on days you can't think and is one that you can do on auto-pilot easily. Very little preperation and most ingredients are to taste so you can eyeball the measurements. It also freezes really well. Make on a day you feel really well and freeze in serving portions with or without pasta for a meal you can nuke in the microwave until hot any night you need to. I think it tastes even better the next day for lunch!
